Oh man, what a busy time it has been. Between planning/making Christmas presents, house stuff, work, etc., I am a little behind on my blog posts again :/ Oh well, life happens right? Anyway, I can say that having my yoga practice during these crazy days is my saving grace. I absolutely love the peace while practicing as well as knowing that I am doing something good for my health. For me it’s important to do an exercise regime I truly love. Not just eh this is alright for now, I really have to love it. I felt this way when I first tried Les Mills Body Combat (more on this during another post). Diving into Adriene’s yoga practice has made me feel that way again. I would definitely say it is a soul mate workout.
But reading posts/vlogs by Danielle Wagasky from Blissful and Domestic (one of my inspirations for my blog’s namesake!) makes me realize how important it is to take this time for myself. I have noticed how much better I feel after my workout. I’ll be honest, I can’t say that after every workout I do. There are definitely some, more than others, that just make me feel exhausted. I keep waiting for the day that I will have that invigorated, energized feeling that everyone raves about. Quite frankly, any exercise beside yoga just zaps all my energy.
Along with finishing up the yoga challenge, my boyfriend (Adrian) and I are doing Beachbody’s The Master’s Hammer and Chisel. I have one word for that: ugh. I will definitely write about that experience in a different post series. But I can say that so far I’m not that into it. Adrian likes to workout in the morning (like 5:30 am early) and I’m just not an early morning person. So I am struggling folks, but I’m gonna do it!
Anyway enough rambling about those workouts. I will give my final update and thoughts on 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene next week. If you are following the challenge the workouts I did for week 3 are listed below. Have a wonderful and blessed day everyone!!
